On November 20th, Trans Day of Remembrance, PSAC mourns and commemorates the trans, two-spirit and non-binary people who have lost their lives to transphobia. We honour the work that is being done in communities across the world to combat transphobic violence.

For several years, the Phoenix payroll system has been incorrectly collecting membership dues from nearly 150,000 members of the Public Service Alliance of Canada. Thousands of federal public service workers have been overpaying or underpaying union dues.

Last month, several government departments sent letters informing PSAC members that the government will finally be in a position to fix these Phoenix errors. PSAC members will see the correct dues amount on their November 14th paycheque.

Activists representing PSAC’s Directly Chartered Locals (DCLs) gathered in Montreal from November 2 - 4 to discuss strategies to build membership strength and win better working conditions for their members.  Directly Chartered Locals have been part of the PSAC for more than 20 years.  Over 30,000 members are represented by these locals.
